Finally, I would like to also report on an addition to the club. July 08 another Andrew Yang contacted me with the following message:

I've always been impressed with how many of us there are, but you're the first to embrace that fact. I'm kinda jealous you got the coveted AndrewYang.com domain. So here I am, reaching out for the first time to one of us. I'm a biomedical engineer, studied in NYC. I work for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reviewing medical devices. I'm on my way to getting a professional engineering license, hence the EIT at the end of my name. Oh right, I'm Korean. And... I'm 26. There's isn't much more to me that I'd be willing to share with a stranger. No picture or website.I just wanted to be cataloged with the rest of your collection of Andrew/Andy Yang profiles.

So I guess just picture this Andrew Yang in your head if you will, looking over the latest medical device to make sure you might ever want to put it in your body while also curiously searching the web as Andrew Yang's occasionally do - for themselves.

Who is Andrew & Andy Yang?

I ask myself that question any day I am feeling brave. As it is, there are certainly thousands of us populating the world, and some of us just happen to have our picture and other information up on the internets.

Seeking me out a la Google my brother supposedly came across 24 Andrew Yang's, a number of Dr. Andrew Yang's, and even an "A.S. Yang" who was a biologist, but alas, who was not me.

The whole thing reminds me a bit of a beautiful movie I once saw called "the Grace Lee Project" which documented one Grace Lee's valiant and precocious search for all the other Grace Lee's out there and their stories - many of which were remarkable.

It makes me wonder what it is like to occupy the life of that Andrew Yang who is 12 years old and playing the violin for his father who received a life-saving liver transplant. Is the Korean or Singaporean Andrew Yang similar to the Chinese one, or the Hmong one for that matter? One says he's "str8 outta Mackamento, California," the other doesn't even talk yet at all. Architects, illustrators, eye doctors, computer engineers, CEO's, sociology students, hockey players in Taiwan, and travel writers for the New York Times- you could get lost in the world wide wide of namesake doppleganger as easily as you could in yourself.
